They were patient with me because this startup is new territory for me, which also caused the project timeline to go much longer. I was thinking of the components of the project in a more sequential/linear fashion and they were working on the three deliverables simultaneously. As a result, my modifications to the financial model and my simultaneous learning about how to use the model and what I needed it to reflect were a challenge for the Oak Team, but they handled it very well and were gracious with me. The team was responsive to my suggestions to making the business plan shorter and better organized (sections, table of contents, appendices, etc.). As for the pitch deck, it was helpful to see what they included and how the team organized the information for a startup pitch deck. I was hoping that my brand standards would’ve been done long before they were so that Oak could help put the pitch deck information into that branded format, but it wasn’t ready in time. I used some of the financial charts in the pitch deck that I created with my branding person.
